Description
This 5 ingredient baked ziti dinner is a quick and comforting pasta casserole made with simple ingredients and baked until bubbly and golden.
Ingredients
1 pound ziti pasta
3 cups marinara sauce
1 cup ricotta cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. Cook ziti pasta in salted boiling water until al dente then drain.
3. Mix cooked pasta with marinara sauce in a large bowl.
4. Spread half of the pasta mixture into a greased baking dish.
5. Add ricotta and half of the mozzarella cheese.
6. Top with remaining pasta mixture and sprinkle remaining mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
7. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
8. Remove foil and bake another 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted and golden.
9. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Do not overcook the pasta before baking.
You can add cooked sausage or ground beef for extra protein.
Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
