A light and fluffy Angel Food Cake with Cherry Whipped Cream that is easy to make and perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
1 cup egg whites
1 cup sugar
1 cup cake flour
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup cherries
Instructions
1. Preheat oven and prepare an ungreased tube pan
2. Whip egg whites until foamy
3. Gradually add sugar and beat to stiff peaks
4. Fold in cake flour gently
5. Bake until golden and cool upside down
6. Whip cream and fold in cherries
7. Top cake with cherry whipped cream
Notes
Use room temperature egg whites
Do not grease the pan
Cool cake upside down to prevent collapse
