Chicken Parmesan Crockpot Casserole: Cozy, Cheesy & Easy Comfort Food

Description

This chicken parmesan crockpot casserole is cozy, cheesy, and incredibly easy. A weeknight winner with all the classic flavor you love.


Ingredients

• 2–3 boneless skinless chicken breasts • 24 oz marinara sauce • 2 cups shredded mozzarella • 1 cup grated parmesan • 1 tsp Italian seasoning • 3 cups cooked pasta (optional)


Instructions

1. Place chicken in bottom of crockpot. 2. Pour marinara sauce over chicken. 3. Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3–4 hours. 4. Shred chicken with two forks. 5. Stir in cooked pasta (if using). 6. Top with mozzarella and parmesan. 7. Cook an additional 30 minutes uncovered or with lid ajar. 8. Serve hot with optional breadcrumbs or broil for crisp top.

Notes

• Add fresh basil or parsley for garnish. • Use oven-ready pasta for a shortcut. • Swap chicken with eggplant for a vegetarian option.
