Description

A bold and creamy Cajun pasta made in just 30 minutes! This dish combines juicy Cajun-spiced chicken, bell peppers, and a velvety parmesan cream sauce.

Ingredients

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (sliced thin)
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
3 garlic cloves (minced)
1 red bell pepper (sliced)
1 green bell pepper (sliced)
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
8 oz linguine or fettuccine (cooked al dente)
Salt and black pepper (to taste)
Chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package directions, then drain and set aside.
2. Toss chicken with Cajun seasoning.
3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
5. Add bell peppers and cook until slightly tender.
6. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
7. Stir in parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
8. Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet, then toss in the pasta.
9. Stir until everything is well coated in the sauce.
10. Serve hot, topped with chopped parsley and extra parmesan if desired.

Notes

Swap chicken for shrimp or sausage for a variation.
Add crushed red pepper flakes for more heat.
Use gluten-free pasta or dairy-free cream alternatives if needed.
Leftovers keep in the fridge for up to 3 days. Add a splash of cream or milk when reheating.
