Creamy Ground Beef Stroganoff is a quick, hearty one-pan meal made with everyday ingredients like ground beef, mushrooms, and sour cream. Perfect for weeknights or when you need classic comfort food in a hurry.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 medium yellow onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup sliced mushrooms
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour (or substitute)
2 cups beef broth
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 cup sour cream
8 oz egg noodles, cooked
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
1. In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat and set meat aside.
2. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onion and mushrooms until tender.
3. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds, then stir in flour to make a roux.
4. Slowly whisk in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Simmer for 5 minutes.
5. Return beef to skillet. Reduce heat and stir in sour cream until smooth.
6. Add cooked noodles, season with salt and pepper, and mix until coated.
7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
For a lighter version, use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream.
Add frozen peas or spinach for extra veggies.
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days.
