Ingredients
6 Italian sausage links
3 bell peppers sliced
1 large onion sliced
3 cloves garlic minced
1 cup tomato sauce
1 can crushed tomatoes
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
1. Slice the bell peppers and onion into strips.
2. Place peppers and onions at the bottom of the crockpot.
3. Add garlic and seasonings over the vegetables.
4. Place the sausage links on top of the vegetables.
5. Pour tomato sauce and crushed tomatoes over the ingredients.
6. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours.
7. Stir gently before serving and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
8. Serve with hoagie rolls, pasta, or rice.
Notes
You can brown the sausage before adding it to the crockpot for extra flavor.
Use a mix of red, yellow, and green peppers for the best taste and color.
