Description
This easy ground beef bake for dinner is hearty, cheesy, and perfect for busy weeknights. Ready in under an hour, it’s family-friendly and freezer-safe.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, diced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt & pepper to taste
2 cups cooked pasta (or rice/potatoes)
1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
Olive oil for sautéing
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. In a skillet, sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until soft.
3. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
4. Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, and seasonings. Simmer 5–7 minutes.
5. In a baking dish, layer pasta, beef mixture, then shredded cheese.
6. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
7. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Make it low-carb with cauliflower rice.
Add chopped spinach, corn, or bell peppers for extra nutrients.
