Description
Light and airy Holiday Cranberry Angel Food Cake Dessert with a festive tart cranberry twist.
Ingredients
1 cup egg whites
1 cup sugar
1 cup cake flour
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup fresh cranberries
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F
2. Whip egg whites with cream of tartar until soft peaks form
3. Gradually add sugar and beat until stiff peaks form
4. Fold in sifted cake flour gently
5. Add cranberries and mix lightly
6. Pour into ungreased tube pan
7. Bake for 35–40 minutes
8. Invert pan and cool completely
Notes
Do not grease the pan
Use room temperature egg whites
Cool upside down to maintain structure
