Description

Lazy Crockpot Beef and Onion Gravy is a comforting slow cooker dinner made with tender beef, sweet onions, and rich savory gravy.

Ingredients

2 lbs chuck roast or stew beef

1 large onion sliced

2 cups beef broth

1 packet onion soup mix

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (optional for thickening)

Instructions

1. Place beef chunks into the crockpot.

2. Add sliced onions on top of the beef.

3. Pour beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over the ingredients.

4. Sprinkle onion soup mix, garlic powder, and black pepper evenly.

5. Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours.

6. During the final 30 minutes stir in the cornstarch mixture if you want thicker gravy.

7. Serve hot over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles.

Notes

Chuck roast gives the best tenderness.

Cooking on low produces the most flavorful gravy.

Leftovers store well for up to 4 days in the refrigerator.
