Ingredients
1 prepared angel food cake, cubed
1 package lemon pudding mix
2 cups cold milk
1 container whipped topping
1 tablespoon lemon zest (optional)
Fresh lemon slices for garnish
Instructions
1. Cut the angel food cake into bite-sized cubes.
2. In a mixing bowl whisk together lemon pudding mix and milk until thick.
3. Fold half of the whipped topping into the lemon pudding mixture.
4. Place a layer of cake cubes in a serving dish.
5. Spread a layer of lemon cream mixture over the cake.
6. Repeat layers until ingredients are used.
7. Top with remaining whipped topping and garnish with lemon zest.
8. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
Use fresh lemon zest for stronger citrus flavor.
