Description
This sausage and broccoli Alfredo recipe blends smoky sausage, tender broccoli, and creamy Alfredo sauce into the ultimate easy comfort meal.
Ingredients
8 oz pasta (fettuccine or penne)
2 cups broccoli florets
2 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan
8 oz cooked sausage, sliced
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup pasta water (reserved)
Instructions
1. Cook pasta until al dente. Reserve pasta water and drain.
2. Blanch broccoli for 2–3 minutes, then set aside.
3. In a large skillet, brown sliced sausage until golden.
4. Remove sausage, melt butter in the same pan, and sauté garlic.
5. Pour in cream, simmer 2 minutes, then stir in Parmesan.
6. Add pasta, sausage, broccoli, and pasta water. Toss to coat.
7. Season with salt and pepper. Let sit for 2 minutes.
8. Serve hot with extra Parmesan.
Notes
Use spicy sausage for extra kick.
Swap heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version.
Add red pepper flakes for heat.
