Description
This slow cooker honey garlic chicken is a 5-ingredient wonder, full of sweet-savory flavor with almost no effort. Perfect for busy nights.
Ingredients
2.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
6 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Season chicken with salt and pepper and place in slow cooker.
2. Mix honey, soy sauce, garlic, and red pepper flakes in a bowl.
3. Pour the sauce over the chicken.
4. Cook on low for 5–6 hours or high for 2.5–3 hours.
5. Remove chicken, shred it, and return to slow cooker.
6. Optional: Thicken sauce with cornstarch slurry if desired.
7. Stir and let sit 5–10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use tamari or coconut aminos for gluten-free version.
Double the garlic if you love bold flavor.
