A creamy and easy strawberry trifle with homemade custard layered with cake and fresh strawberries.
Ingredients
2 cups fresh strawberries
2 cups milk
3 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp cornstarch
2 cups cake cubes
1 cup whipped cream
Instructions
1. Heat milk in a saucepan
2. Whisk eggs, sugar, and cornstarch
3. Combine milk with mixture and cook until thick
4. Add vanilla and cool
5. Layer cake, custard, and strawberries
6. Repeat layers and top with whipped cream
7. Chill for 3–4 hours before serving
Notes
Use fresh strawberries for best flavor
Let custard cool before layering
