Description
Sticky, sweet, and savory, these honey garlic chicken thighs come together in one skillet with pantry staples and under 30 minutes perfect for any weeknight.
Ingredients
6 bone-in or boneless chicken thighs
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp water
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Pat chicken thighs dry and season with salt and pepper.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
3. Sear chicken thighs for 6–7 minutes per side (4–5 minutes if boneless) until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
4. In the same skillet, reduce heat and add garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds.
5. Stir in honey, soy sauce, and vinegar. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
6. Mix cornstarch with water and pour into sauce. Simmer until thickened.
7. Return chicken to the skillet and coat with sauce.
8. Let simmer for 2 more minutes until sticky and fully glazed.
9. Serve hot over rice, with veggies or noodles.
Notes
You can swap honey for maple syrup or agave.
Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
Double the sauce if serving over rice or noodles.
